I love reading about readers, reading about peoples thoughts on books, and hearing them blab about reading gadgets. This forum has been great, and I want more! Can anyone recommend a BLOG where the author is talking about all their reading thoughts/ideas/musings/ frustrations etc?
Thanks in advance, and great work bookmarks!

Shameless promotion and then some

I have a book blog at
I have a book blog at http://americanbibliophile.com

A blog worth checking out
I just want to thank everyone who has seen my husband's comment and checked out my blog (www.kellyspulitzerproject.blogspot.com). It's been great to hear from some of you and to know that you're part of my literary experiment. :)
I recently found a blog that has a long list of link to other literary blogs I thought you all might be interested in. The blog is found at http://literatehousewife.wordpress.com/
It's worth checking out ... and thanks again to everyone who has stopped by my blog. I really appreciate it.

I agree with the shameless self-promotion
I actually just started into publishing my first novel and therefore just started a blog as well.

Books on Sustainability
I'm currently in a MBA program in San Francisco, Presidio School of Management, our cohort has created an online community called http://www.greenleavesbooks.org/. At GreenLeaves we are committed to creating a sustainable world together. We discuss different themes related to sustainability and help each other put what we learn into action. We review books related to sustainability and provide members with the option of exploring these ideas in more depth. We're also forming local sustainability clubs to meet, talk, and undertake actions together in person. It's a great community and we'd like to further the discussion, stop by for a visit. http://www.greenleavesbooks.org/
Blog About Reading on the Amazon Kindle Reader
I have a blog mainly about recreational reading for owners or prospective owners of the Amazon Kindle reader. The URL is http://kindlereader.blogspot.com
My wife's Pulitzer blog...
My wife is devoting 2008 to reading all of the Pulitzer Prize-winners in Fiction, and is blogging her experience. The site, for those curious, is: www.kellyspulitzerproject.blogspot.com - give it a look. And be on the lookout, too, for the book club (The Eclectic Shade Tree) that she and I have belonged to for the last five or six years - it's being featured, we've been informed, in the May / June 2008 issue!
The Naked Authors Blog
The Naked Authors (www.nakedauthors.com) is actually a cooperative effort among crime novelists James Grippando, Patricia Smiley, Jacqueline Winspear, James O. Born, Cornelia Read, and Paul Levine. It offers a glimpse of writers at home, at work, offering musings and opinions, and has more of a personal voice than you might read in their stories. Interestingly enough, they also exchange messages in the Comments section.

BookHobby.Com
I hate to toot my own horn so will do so quickly and then hurry away....
WWW.BOOKHOBBY.COM is devoted to those people who understand our motto that "Books Are More Precious Than Gold!" The main website offers reviews of books (feature length and 'quickie' summaries), some news having to do with publishing and a large set of active community Forums.
My podcast focuses on reviewing one or two books per episode as well as other features. For example, one recurring feature is "Let's Judge A Book By Its' Cover" and it is great fun! We also have a recurring feature where we review what the magazines in the field are covering (Bookmarks has been featured a number of times). In our latest podcast (Episode 8) we review the book ABC by David Plante. In past episodes we have reviewed such books as THE CASTLE IN THE FOREST by Norman Mailer (and I think offered one unique insight I have not seen published elsewheres), ON KINGDOM MOUNTAIN and many others. Our next update is in about a week and will feature Michael Chabon's new book GENTLEMEN OF THE ROAD.
The podcast is listenable right from the main website at:
http://www.bookhobby.com
Or you can subscribe to the BookHobby Podcast via iTunes on your iPod by using this link (it will open iTunes for you on your Mac or PC and take you in iTunes to the for-free BookHobby subscribe page:

If you have a non-Apple MP3 player or listen to podcasts on your computer via a feed aggregator software you can use the following as the feed address:

I hope this did not sound too much like a commercial but if people are indeed looking to supplement sites such as this one then I hope it will help.

The Elegant Variation
Try Mark Sarvas' literary weblog at http://marksarvas.blogs.com/elegvar/
The Elegant Variation is a well known blog by L.A.-based Mark Sarvas. His first work, Harry, Revised will be published soon. The main focus is on literary news, events, new works by established and new writers, but he sometimes writes about Harry. He seems to have many contacts in publishing and literary circles. Very well-written and comprehensive. Best of all there is a weekly Friday book give away! Haven't won yet, but I keep trying.
My Literary Blog
I've got a blog as well. It highlights the worlds of books/magazines/movies/poetry/writing/reading, with some attention paid to my freelance writing. I hope you like it!

I read a lot of historical fiction, so I enjoy http://www.readingthepast.blogspot.com. I also sometimes read the various blogs to which the author of that one links.

books website
I recently launched a website which shows books on an interactive Google Map. Want to find historical fiction set in Greece? Zoom in on the map and see the books directly on the map. You can add your own books, or add new locations to existing ones. You can try it out at http://www.codexmap.com.
