Anyone have LibraryThing, Shelfari, Goodreads page?

Hi everyone!
Since this is a community of readers, I thought I'd ask: do you have a LibraryThing, Shelfari or Goodreads page you would like to share with the class? Er, I mean, share with your fellow readers? Mine is www.shelfari.com/wurdnurd, and I'd love to meet more people!! (I only have 2 friends *sniff*)
Happy reading!

LibraryThing

I love LibraryThing for cataloging my books and being able to sort not only by genre and author (so straightforward!), but also by location (took place in India? San Francisco?) and themes (immigration? high school?) ... this makes it so much easier to put my fingers on a specific piece of fiction that I may have read ages ago! I do use tags, and agree that they should have "universal" appeal ("to be read" and "not owned" don't help me select a book).

Happy Reading!

LibraryThing

I just discovered LibraryThing. I had been cataloging my books in Google books. I imported the Google list into LibraryThing. Right now I am placing books into both catalogues until I decide which one I like the best. I like Google because you can search your entire library for specific information from books in your library. I also like the fact that you can import several books at once by using the ISBN. I have had some trouble with Google books in that I will search for a particular book in my library and Google books says I don't have it when I know that it is there. I like LibraryThing because I like the idea of seeing what books I have in common with other members and peeking into other peoples library.

Here's mine! Shelfari:

I love Shelfari for the socializing but I find LibraryThing to be much better at actual cataloguing my books. Plus it has that great Early Reviews programme!

I'm on LibraryThing

...and also on BookCrossing.com, under the same username. I'm not all that active on the forums at LibraryThing, but I have to say I'm enjoying their Early Reviewers program. And I like the ability to catalog my books through LibraryThing, as well as find members with similar tastes & get book suggestions.

And for those of you who are members of more than one of these sites, what are the differences between them and do you prefer one over another?? I'm now curious about Shelfari & Goodreads, but not sure if cataloging books on each would be beneficial??! Any input?

Shelfari, Library Thing

I joined Shelfari and Library Thing, very recently and I'm enjoying it. I like to see what everyone else is reading. Compared to people on the site I feel like I don't read enough. It would be nice to have a chat site. Perhaps I'm missing something.

I have a Shelfari account, I

I have a Shelfari account, I am always looking for some new friends to talk books with :)

I go by JessicaP on there too. I like Shelfari, I've gotten some good recommendations and some good ideas for books to read from there.

LibraryThing is the Thing for me

I'm on LibraryThing http://www.librarything.com/catalog/elusivecritter.
I'm a little behind it adding new books to it. And I'm trying to decide how I want to add my eBooks for my Sony Reader.

I was on Shelfari too, but if I remember correctly didn't care for it.

LibraryThing, etc.

I'm on two:

I never have much time to get into discussions with people but I love being able to access my "shelf" from anywhere! I'm a librarian in a public library and I'm thinking about how to use Shelfari (since it's free to anyone) as a way to advise readers, not just as a way to record my own reading. Not sure how I feel about tags - sometimes they give great results; other times, I'm disappointed in how people choose to tag their books.

Tags, RA work in libraries

I'm jealous, you're a librarian (I've one more year left in my MLIS program)...
I noticed the same thing about the tags. So many people will tag the item with things like the author, personal details (i.e., "own" or "read"), as opposed to themes, subjects or other meaningful tags (on the global sense). I kind of wish there were a way to separate the tags so users can have personal tags and public tags. I just try to do my part and use only globally meaningful tags that will help me and anyone else trying to select a book.
